The 16th annual All Girls Math Tournament was held on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at University High School for girls in grades three to eight. We were amazed by the outstanding attendance of over 140 girls who engaged in a fun contest to test their mathematical skills through individual and team efforts.
The tournament consisted of two individual rounds of written problems followed by a team round. We were delighted to welcome Mrs. Melanie Clarke from Portola High School as our guest speaker of the year, as she discussed her journey in math and what she wished she would’ve known when she first started out in math. At the end, we held an awards ceremony honoring the highest-scoring participants. We would like to congratulate all of our top individual scorers and teams on their accomplishments!
Over the course of the tournament, we held our customary bake sale, keeping participants energized throughout the competition. We also had a book sale, in which those who donated $30 or more could receive their choice of one of our math books. Thank you to all who donated! Your help will keep all of our initiatives running!
